2004-2005 Season: Played in 28 games, starting 25. One of only four players to play in all 28 games. Second on team in scoring with 12.2 points per game. Finished 21st in A-Sun in scoring. Ninth in a-Sun in 3-point field goal percentage (38.8, 64-of-165) and eighth in the A-Sun in 3-point fields goals made, 2.29 per game.Averaged 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Twice scored 28 points in a game, the team's season high, at Troy (12-4-04) and vs Mercer (1-10-05). Twice tied the school record for 3-pointers made in a game with 7 at Troy (12-4-04) and 7 vs Mercer (1-10-05). Scored in double figures in 19 of 28 games. Led team in scoring seven times, tied for lead one tim. Led team in rebounding with 7 vs. Campbell Feb. 17. Led team in assists two times, tied for lead three times. Led team in steals one time, tied for lead four times. Finished third in the A-Sun in free throw percentage 80.8, 59-of-73.

2003-2004 Season: Second on team in scoring with 10.5 points per game. He and freshman guard Brian Fisk were the only players on the team to average in double figures. Scored in double figures in 16 games. Recorded the longest streak of the season on the team with double figures in six straight games. Also had a five-game double figures run. Scored 20 or more points three times. Second on team in field goal attempts (9.3). Led team in free throw percentage (75.5) for the second straight season. Scored a season-and-team-high 30 points Dec. 12 against Pepperdine University, the only player on the team to score 30 or more points in game. His career-high, single-game scoring effort ranks third all-time during the NCAA era for the Bisons. Led team in scoring in seven games. His 19 field goal attempts against Pepperdine also was a season-and-team high. Credited with two perfect performances at the free throw line, hitting 6-of-6 at UCF Jan. 17 and 5-of-5 against Sewanee Dec. 18. Set season-and-team highs for free throws made (12) and free throws attempted (14) at Stetson University Feb. 21. Played in 28 games, started 24.

2002-2003 Season:Named NCAA Independent Freshman Player of the Year by a vote of coaches from colleges and universities without a conference affiliation. Averaged 22.7 minutes per game. Played in all 28 games, starting four. Averaged 8.9 points per game. Reached double-digits in 12 game with a high of 18 Feb. 10 against Jacksonville State. His 88 percent success rate at the free throw line paced the team. Shot 43.3 percent from behind the three-point arc. Finished the season with 55 assists.

High School: Named Alabama 6-A High School Player of the Year for 2002, which he also ranks as his best moment in his sports career. Averaged 18.3 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per game. Also won the triple jump event in the Alabama High School state track meet his junior year.

Personal: Graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Ala. Majoring in interdisciplinary education. Born June 28, 1981. Parents are Mable and James Poindexter.
