Carolyn Latham, a sophomore at Lipscomb, has been named to the "ESPN The Magazine" CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Second Team for Women's Track and Field and Cross Country.

Latham, from San Rafael, Calif., has a 4.0 grade point average majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology.

District IV includes Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

In cross country Latham earned Atlantic Sun All-Conference honors in 2007. She also scored for the team in the 5000 meters at the indoor conference and outdoor conference championships. She improved her 5,000 meters person best by 54 seconds this year.

Latham also serves as a team captain for both cross country and track and field.
